Ox-Ki-Si 2018 Sophie! An encounter with the young Sophie Scholl

Lea is fourteen, lives in Ulm and is a bit of a phone addict. She has a row with her mother and bumps into another girl, Sophie, on the way to school. Only gradually does Lea realise that she is in Ulm in 1935 and thus in the middle of another reality.

In the composition commissioned by the Landesakademie from Bernard Lienhardt and Michael Sommer, the children and young adults are taken on a journey through time about the "White Rose" and its timelessly topical concerns.

Composition: Bernard Lienhardt

Libretto: Michael Sommer

Director: Corinna Palm

Cast: 1-2 part children's and youth choir, male voice ad lib, flute, clarinet/alto saxophone, 2 violins, violoncello, double bass, piano
