About us The jury
No competition without a jury. At BÜHNE FREI, independent representatives from different fields decide on the awarding of prizes. Each year, the jury is made up of one voting member from the Ministry of Culture, one from the State Academy and one specialist from the fields of directing/dramaturgy, composition, children's choir direction, publishing and the German Choir Association. The non-voting director of the Landesakademie chairs the proceedings, in which all parties present are equally entitled to vote.
In order to exclude any possible advantage before and during the competition, the names of the jury members will not be published.
Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport Baden-Württemberg
The Ministry of Culture in Baden-Württemberg stands for comprehensive education and upbringing of children, young people and adult learners. By entrusting the Landesakademie Ochsenhausen with the organisation of the composition competition BÜHNE FREI, it strengthens the promotion of musical education.
Landesakademie Ochsenhausen
Since 2005, the Landesakademie has annually commissioned a composition for a children's musical that is premiered as part of the Ochsenhauser Kindersingtage. This reliable expertise is now strengthened by the commission from the Ministry of Culture for the competition BÜHNE FREI.
Carus-Verlag
With the Carus publishing house, one of the world's leading publishers of vocal and choral music has been won for the composition competition BÜHNE FREI. In cooperation with the Landesmusikakademie, the publishing house will accompany the competition and offer the winning work for publication.
